GAIL INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE- ECE 2016

My GAIL selection process experience. (ET 2016 Telecom/Telemetry)

NAME: SAURAV JAISWAL  AIR:43   GATE ECE  2016
I reached the Gail training institute, noida at around 8.30 am. There were 2 people for checking the documents. After getting the documents verified, we were divided in groups of around 10. The topics of gd were related to current news. All the document verification process and gd got over by 2.30 pm.

Interviews started after 2.30pm.
There was a single board taking the interviews. The panel consisted of 5-6 mid aged persons and 2 persons were somewhat younger.
They were asking random technical questions which were very basic. They asked basically questions from rectifiers, zener diodes and satellite communication. Their HR questions were same for all like why Gail??
Which PSU will you join despite having same scale of pay in all PSU?? And more stupid questions like this.
It was already 8pm when my interview got over.
It was my first PSU interview experience. I thought of having some good interview questions in technical but it looked like they were not looking for technical people instead they wanted people who will stay with them( they asked everyone about ese, whether one has attempted the exam or not).
Seeing about the same questions asked to everyone it's really hard to predict if one may get selected or not.
P.S. : My chances of final selection are almost zero.

Thank you Saurav for sharing your experience.
